Below are three upcoming volunteer opportunities in conjunction with the Shell Houston Open.
THE FIRST TEE SCHOOL PROGRAM CHAMPIONS CHALLENGE
Presented by Children's Memorial Hermann
DATE: Saturday, March 29
NEED: 60 volunteers are needed to help with safety, set-up, parking, registration, food & beverage, skill rotation stations, standard bearing, and scoring. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and able to arrive to the golf course by their designated time.
JUNIOR GOLF SKILLS CHALLENGE
DATE: Tuesday, April 1 from 3:00pm – 6:00pm
NEED: 15-20 volunteers are needed to assist with set-up, registration, safety, monitoring station activities, scoring, and breakdown. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and able to arrive to the golf course by 3:00pm.
EXHIBIT TENT - Perfect event for the entire family
DATE: Thursday-Sunday, April 3 - April 6 from 8:30am – 5:30pm
NEED: Volunteers are needed to help with program promotion and fundraising in the exhibit tent. Volunteers will mainly assist spectators while they participate (i.e. keep score, retrieve golf balls, ensure safety), promote The First Tee of Greater Houston and HGA Junior Golf, and collect donations.
SHO Exhibit volunteers will receive:
Free admission into the 2014 Shell Houston Open
Hours toward community service if needed
SHO Exhibit volunteers are required to:
Work a minimum of 3 hours at a time
Bring an adult with them if they are 13 years of age or younger
